Neil Albert, vice chairman at MCR, has been selected to receive an award from the Defense Department for his work to project performance management policies, concepts and practices with national and international implications.
The “Hans Driessnack Distinguished Service Award” is intended to reflect contributions such as speeches, research, publications and other work in the field of earned value management, MCR said Nov. 25.
DoD recognized Albert for promoting the growth of EVM worldwide and to maintain relationships across organizations such as the PMI, National Defense Industrial Association, Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis, as well as the U.S. and foreign governments.
Albert also met with Japanese lawmakers and the country’s ministers of finance, defense and economy, trade and industry on how to use EVM and estimate costs in that country.
MCR also says Albert worked with officials in Turkey and established the College of Performance Management’s first global advisory committee.
