Rob Potter Assumes Federal Sales VP Role at Lancope; Mike Potts Comments

Lancope logoRob Potter has taken on a new role at Lancope as vice president of federal sales.

Potter, leveraging 22 years of experience in information technology, security and sales in the federal market, has helped the network security solutions provider grow its federal business portfolio by up to 170 percent, Lancope said Monday.

“During his time with Lancope and in previous roles, Rob has been instrumental in shoring up security measures for dozens of organizations in the federal space, and we look forward to his expanded contributions as our new vice president for this market,” said Mike Potts, president and CEO of Lancope.

Potter was federal sales director at Lancope for one year prior to his appointment, previously worked for IBM and EMC security unit RSA, and had sales roles at software firms Jacada and  Attachmate.

“I look forward to continuing to expand our footprint in the federal space and helping more agencies transform their security strategies to keep up with today’s rapidly evolving threats,” Potter said.
