STG CEO Simon Lee Awards $1M Endowment to Korea Univ, GWU Students

STG logoSimon Lee, chairman and CEO of STG Inc., has awarded a $1 million endowment to engineering faculty and graduate students from Korea University and George Washington University.

The endowment establishes the Simon Lee College of Engineering Endowment for faculty and graduate students to collaborate on joint research, workshops and technical exchanges, STG said Aug. 7.

“I believe this endowment will provide a better educational environment for talented students in the future,” Lee said. Simon-Lee

Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Korea University, a master’s degree in systems engineering from GWU and an honorary doctorate from Korea University.

He donated $1 million to GWU in 2010 to initiate an exchange program between the two universities.
