Leidos sensor technology work on the Blue Devil program for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory has been recognized with the Joe Sciabica Innovation and Collaboration Award.

The company was presented the prize at the recent Ohio Innovation Summit in Dayton, Leidos said Wednesday.

The Blue Devil platform contributes to battle preparation, force protection, improvised explosive device identification and other activities using a network of multi-intelligence sensors that translate data for deployed warfighters.

Leidos installed the advanced system’s components and provides support services in collaboration with a team of subcontractors and government agencies.

“The collaboration with a diverse team of experts on the Blue Devil program led to providing innovative capabilities to the warfighter,” Leidos Group President John Fratamico said.

“The program successfully demonstrated that fusing multiple sources of intelligence effectively in near real-time is a significant force enabler.”
