Eric Wieman serves as senior vice president of STG‘s civil sector, which comprises the software and systems development group, financial services group and the consulting and technical services group.
Wieman joined the company in May as general manager of the systems design and development segment and now leads a business organization that offers software and systems design, development and operations support services to federal agencies.
STG’s civil agency customers include the departments of Agriculture and State, Internal Revenue Service, Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
The civil group’s services encompass program management; enterprise architecture design; business process re-engineering; data analysis; test and evaluation support; enterprise help desk operations; linguistics; enterprise resource planning implementations; and financial management.
Wieman’s GovCon career includes time as executive VP and GM of Dell‘s federal civilian government business, where he led a team that provided science, engineering and information technology services to agencies.
He joined STG from Accelera Solutions, where he led service delivery functions for federal and commercial customers.
Prior to Accelera, Wieman served as VP of science and engineering services at Computer Sciences Corp., where also worked as that company’s customer relationship executive for NASA.
Wieman is also a former director of science and mission support from Raytheon‘s intelligence and information systems segment, where his other roles have included director of enterprise support solutions, director of enterprise information solutions and director of IT systems.
During his Navy career, Wieman served as an active duty P-C patrol plane pilot for seven years and his roles included commander, mission commander and instructor pilot.
He served as a pilot in the Navy reserves for 19 years and retired in October 2006 with the rank of captain.
Wieman holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Holy Cross and completed leadership courses at Raytheon during his time there.
