Mike Rogers, the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has started hosting this week a new nationally syndicated radio show available through CumulusWestwood One distribution platform three times every weekday.

Westwood One said Nov. 6 that Rogers’ segment, called Something to Think About, will address relevant national issues as well as smaller stories that demonstrate “American exceptionalism.”

“From the highest level national security discussion to the most inspiring American success story, I have seen it,” Rogers said.

“They are humorous, compelling, moving and most of all these stories will give us something to think about.”

Rogers recently ended his seventh term as the Republican representative of Michigan’s eighth congressional district and has announced early last year his decision to not seek re-election and instead pursue a role in radio.

He is a former U.S. Army officer and special agent in FBI‘s Chicago field office.

During his time as head of the intelligence committee in Congress, he has worked on national security policies, cybersecurity, health security and international incidents in Afghanistan, Crimea and others.
