Michael Cox, a vice president and engineering services sector manager for Parsons’ government services business unit, has joined the National Defense Industrial Association’s Tennessee Valley chapter board of directors.
He was also named to the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce’s Huntsville/Madison County chapter in Alabama, Parsons said Thursday.
Mary Ann Hopkins, a Parsons group president and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 list for 2015, said Cox will contribute to NDIA’s Tennessee Valley Chapter and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce with his background in defense and security.
Cox previously served as division director of missile defense for a security company before he joined Parsons in 2014.
He also spent 27 years with the U.S. Air Force and served as chief of the missile defense and missile warning radars division at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts prior to his retirement from government service in 2007.
