Regina Mayor, formerly KPMG‘s energy and natural resources advisory industry and the Americas oil and gas lead, has been named the company’s national sector lead for the energy and natural resources practice.

Mayor will take over the role from John Kunasek, who has been appointed as national managing partner of market development, on Sept. 14, KPMG said Thursday.

“She is a recognized leader in serving energy businesses as they navigate this highly complex business environment, and we’re confident that her vision, industry knowledge and leadership will help further strengthen and build this practice,” said Rob Arning, vice chairman of market development at KPMG.

Mayor was an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves and also a co-leader of the KPMG national Veterans Network.
