Huntington Ingalls’ Mike Petters Recognized for Coast Guard Foundation Support

petters_mikeHuntington Ingalls Industries President and CEO Mike Petters has received commendation that recognizes his company’s support of the Coast Guard Foundation’s educational, moral and financial assistance programs for U.S. Coast Guard families.

The foundation honored Petters during the nonprofit’s annual Salute to the USCG event that was held Thursday at New York Marriott Marquis, the company said Monday.

Anne Brengle, president of the Coast Guard Foundation, said that Huntington Ingalls has worked with the foundation over the past three decades.

“They have been there with us all across the country, where Coast Guard members are stationed, and at the Coast Guard Academy, where the future leaders of the Coast Guard are training,” Brengle added.

Huntington Ingalls has helped design, build and modernize the U.S.’ National Security Cutters and warships.
