Five Texas women launched Boot Campaign in 2009 with the intent to promote awareness of the challenges that military personnel encounter during and after active duty, Forbes reported Tuesday.
“It feels like there’s a sincere community at Boot Campaign,” Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager of the U.S. public sector at Hewlett-Packard‘s enterprise services business, was quoted as saying by Forbes.
The nonprofit organization is “focused on getting the job done right and there’s dedication and passion around truly supporting troops and their families,” Crouther added.
Forbes reports Boot Campaign has raised approximately $2 million annually for assistance programs for U.S. service members, veterans and military families.
