Northrop to Sponsor UK Air Force Museum’s Centenary Program; Andrew Tyler Comments

northrop-Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman has agreed to serve as a sponsor of renovation efforts at the Royal Air Force Museum as part of the military branch’s centennial anniversary celebrations.

RAF Museum’s centenary program aims to transform the London-based gallery through landscaping, new exhibits and education and volunteering opportunities, Northrop said Wednesday.

The company will also highlight air intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and unmanned aircraft systems as a themed sponsor in RAF Museum’s new Now & the Future exhibit area.

Andrew Tyler, chief executive of Northrop’s European arm, said the partnership offers the company an opportunity to educate visitors on technology developments and foster interest in aeronautics.

RAF Museum has received funds from Heritage Lottery Fund grants as well as public and corporate sponsors and the museum needs nearly $8.9 million to reach its target.
