Michael McDonald, formerly director of information technology for the Delaware state police, has joined Intellicheck Mobilisa to help drive the adoption of a threat identification, identification authentication and contact status system at federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies.
The company said Tuesday McDonald will serve as business development manager for law enforcement solutions and lead Intellicheck Mobilisa’s efforts to expand its industry law enforcement programs and create product adoption opportunities for the Law ID platform.
Law ID offers real-time authentication capacity for scanned identification documents on smartphones or tablets and facilitates situational awareness using extended search functions via integration with various data sources.
Intellicheck Mobilisa CEO William Roof added McDonald will also work to build on the company’s International Justice and Public Safety Network/NLETS partnership.
McDonald’s previous role with the Delaware state police includes service as the state’s NLETS representative and Criminal Justice Information Systems representative with FBI.
He has held positions on the NLETS board of directors and FBI advisory policy board and is a recipient of the NLETS President’s Award for service to the law enforcement nonprofit organization and the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Council Award for his efforts to push information sharing and technology standardization for local police.
