Concurrent Technologies Corp. has received for the second time the Winning Company recognition from the nonprofit organization 2020 Women on Boards in acknowledgement of CTC’s efforts to promote gender diversity on its board of directors.

CTC said Tuesday 2020 Women on Boards runs a 10-year campaign that seeks to raise by at least 20 percent the number of female executives who serve on company boards by 2020.

“CTC is honored to be recognized as a Winning “W” Company that understands that good corporate decision-making requires the ability to hear and consider different points of view from people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives,” said Ed Sheehan, CTC president and CEO.

“We are grateful for the invaluable contributions made by our female board members and colleagues throughout the company,” he added.

Female members of CTC’s board include Margaret DiVirgilio and E. Jeanne Gleason.

DiVirgilio is also a senior vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer under CTC’s senior executive leadership team and sits on the boards of the National Defense Industrial Association and National Contract Management Association.

Gleason serves as chair of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

2020 Women on Boards said that female executives now hold 19.7 percent of seats on corporate boards, compared with 14.6 percent held by women in 2011.
