Bill Greenwalt, formerly a professional staff member on the Senate Armed Services Committee, has been named senior adviser for research and development at the Professional Services Council, Federal News Radio reported Wednesday.
He will advise the council on defense, national security and government contracting matters, according to the report by Jory Heckman.
PSC President and CEO David Berteau said Greenwalt will bring extensive government and industry experience to the trade group and will help advance research agenda of its philanthropic foundation.
Greenwalt previously served a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, vice president of acquisition policy at the Aerospace Industries Association and director of federal acquisition policy at Lockheed Martin.
He also held the roles of deputy undersecretary for defense industrial policy at the Defense Department, deputy director of surveys and investigations at the House Appropriations Committee and an overseas immigration specialist at the Justice Department.
