Harris Gets Lockheed Supplier Award for F-35, F-22 Pneumatic Suspension, Release Systems

Lockheed Martin has awarded a supplier award to Harris Corp. in recognition of the latter’s efforts to deliver pneumatic suspension and release systems for F-35 and F-22 fighter aircraft.

“This award recognizes suppliers holding a 98 percent on-time delivery rating with a 98 percent quality rating,” Janet Duffey, vice president of aeronautics supply chain management at Lockheed’s Sikorsky business, said in a statement released Wednesday.

Harris has more than three decades’ experience as a supplier of pneumatic systems for F-22s and F-35s and those include BRU-67/A, LAU-142/A and BRU-68.

“We are honored to receive this Lockheed Martin supplier award, which recognizes the top two percent of their 1,400 suppliers,” said Ed Zoiss, president of Harris’ electronic systems business.

Zoiss added the award seeks to acknowledge Harris’ avionics innovation and employees’ contributions to Lockheed’s fighter jet programs.
