Letitia Long, former director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, has been named an independent director of Sonatype‘s board of directors.
Sonatype said Tuesday Long will work with board representatives from the company’s lead investors that include Goldman Sachs, Accel Partners, New Enterprise Associates and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners.
She held various civilian leadership positions during her more than 35-year career at the Defense Department and intelligence community, including time as deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence.
Steve Hills, formerly president and general manager at The Washington Post, also joined Sonatype as an independent director.
Fulton, Maryland-based Sonatype offers software supply chain automation tools to support customers’ agile, continuous delivery and DevOps software development efforts.
