Fred Werner, Steve Morriss, Lara Poloni Take New Leadership Roles at AECOM

AECOM has promoted three executives to new leadership roles in support of the Los Angeles-based global infrastructure firm’s strategic priorities.

Fred Werner, formerly AECOM’s group president of design and consulting services-Americas, will serve as president of major pursuits, the company said Monday.

The 40-year civil infrastructure professional will work to leverage the company’s design, build, operate and finance capabilities in pursuit of bid opportunities.

Steve Morriss, formerly CEO of AECOM’s Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa business unit, will succeed Werner as group president of design and consulting services-Americas.

Morriss previously served as managing director of government and business services at Mouchel and held senior leadership positions at WS Atkins and Serco.

Lara Poloni, formerly CEO of AECOM’s Australia-New Zealand business unit, has been selected to succeed Morriss as EMIA CEO.

Poloni has more than two decades of experience in the development and assessment of transport, telecommunications and energy infrastructure.

She will be replaced by Todd Battley, a 20-year infrastructure sector veteran, as CEO of Australia-New Zealand.
