VSE Adds Navy Vet Mark Ferguson to Board of Directors

Mark Ferguson

Mark Ferguson, a retired U.S. Navy admiral, has been elected to join the board of directors at Alexandria, Virginia-based technical services contractor VSE effective Dec. 1.

VSE said Wednesday Ferguson concurrently led U.S. Naval Forces Europe and U.S. Naval Forces Africa, as well as NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command before he retired from military service in July last year.

The 38-year veteran also served as vice chief of naval operations at the service branch.

“Mark’s track record of leadership and experience in the naval operations community, particularly his experience in cyber defense, strategic planning, regulatory affairs and operations management, will be valuable to our board as we continue to execute our company’s strategy,” said Cliff Kendall, VSE board chairman.

Ferguson also serves on the board of trustees at the Center for Naval Analysis Corporation and as a senior adviser to McKinsey & Company on matters related to naval ships and weapons systems.
