Nutanix said Tuesday Gibson will be responsible for developing and implementing a global marketing strategy intended to drive adoption of company-built enterprise cloud technology offerings.
Gibson said he aims to help expand the company’s customer base and footprint across new markets.
He also previously held a similar role at data management company Veritas and led its rebranding efforts after it was spun off from former parent Symantec.
Before Veritas, he served in also marketing leadership positions at Aruba Networks and Cisco.
